Ladies and gentleman, now introducing (drum roll ) ... the Great Word Nerd!
The name for this site is no coincidence. I'm a word nerd. I think I discovered it when I was five and completely enthralled by Mother Goose. In college, when the rest of people my age were aspiring to become doctors, nurses and attorneys, I decided to enter the lone room in the basement of the university reserved for the two other people out of the entire student body who wanted to become journalists. We became fast friends and the rest, as they say, is history.
So now you're probably wondering what makes me qualified to work on your prized document. Good question.
Qualifications
I have experience editing pretty much anything: full-length novels, term papers, resumes, blogs, newsletters, RFPs, trainings, PowerPoint presentations and more. Basically, I've edited pretty much every type of content that's ever been written.
I stumbled into freelance work by accident when a satisfied author I'd edited for spread the word to her friends; soon an editing empire was built. I made a lot of friends in the business and loved every moment of it. And now I'm looking to expand!
Let me be your nerd
I like to feel comfortable with the people I work with, and if you're the same, let's talk! If a voice on the phone or a little bit more about me will make you feel more confident that your work is in the right hands, I'm happy to chat. Experience has taught me that the most successful relationships are the ones built on trust and good rapport.
